Restom® Detect 8840 – Test for Faulty Head Gasket & Water Pump (500 ml)

Bubbles in the radiator – head gasket or water pump? With Restom® Detect 8840 you find out before you strip the engine.

How to use

1. Fit a stopper with hose (not included) onto the radiator or expansion tank.
2. Dip the end of the hose into Detect 8840.
3. Escaping gases bubble through the liquid.

Result

• Liquid turns colourless: probably a faulty or porous cylinder head gasket.
• Stays pink: the water pump is drawing air or there are limescale deposits – often solved by checking the pump or descaling with PAC 2030.
