Which tanks?
For tanks made of steel, copper and brass – motorcycles, classic and youngtimer cars, tractors, boats or stationary engines. For aluminium tanks we recommend the Restom® Kit Alu, for fibreglass, carbon and polyester tanks the Restom® Kit Poly. Not suitable for stainless steel or flexible polyethylene/polypropylene tanks (e.g. modern cars and enduros from approx. 1980).

Quantities are matched to the selected tank volume (example 15-litre tank: 0.5 l SDT 4060, 0.5 l PAC 2030, 0.35 l EIR 2000).
How it works
- Degrease: pour SDT 4060 with hot water into the tank, slosh, let it work, rinse thoroughly.
- Derust: fill PAC 2030 diluted 1:1 with water, move the tank regularly until the rust is dissolved. Rinse and dry completely.
- Seal: mix EIR 2000, pour in and slowly rotate the tank in all directions until the entire inner surface is coated. Drain the excess.
- Cure: approx. 1 week at 15–25 °C – then the tank can be refuelled.

Tip: if your tank is close to the upper limit, has baffles or is heavily rusted, choose the next larger kit.
